What if you just try to be helpful?
Not a lot of business books out there about that. We’re supposed to learn about marketing and selling and customer lifetime value.
What about just helping people? What if THAT was the priority? What would shift after that?
Would you make the same choices? Would you say the same things? Would you show-up in the way you’re doing it now?
Are we even allowed to do this?
Or do we just have to think about the money?
It’s funny that the mindset guys say not to focus on the money to get the money, but the sales and marketing guys are all about gettin’ the money.
They can’t both be right!
If I had to choose, my guess would be that thinking about OTHER PEOPLE and what they need is going to get me further than just thinking about myself.
This is common sense I suppose. But look around at the businesses out there and what they’re doing and it’s kind of obvious that this approach is not COMMON.
So if you try it, you might stick out above anyone and everyone else. That could be good.
Business is supposed to be about helping people. What if we remembered that?
