Are you chasing your dreams or are you embodying the state where they “chase” you?
These are two very different approaches to achieving the same result.
If you chase, every day on the journey is a day of not having what you want.
I can’t think of one example in business or life where “chasing” is a smart use of energy.
I suppose if you’re playing a game of tag, that would be a good time to chase. Other than that, you can save yourself a lot of drama by stopping. “Chasing” something is a great way to be miserable.
Things that you chase tend to run away.
The other path is to change you. To become the kind of person you would be if you were already living that dream. You step into that dream even before it has appeared.
This is something you can control. You can control the amount of focus and work you invest in YOU.
Will your dreams come true if you choose this path?
This is a question that chasers ask. If you don’t stop asking, you’re still chasing.
What if your dreams pale in comparison to what is really possible? What if your dreams, the ones that you are chasing, represent only a fraction of your true potential?
Maybe it’s smart to let that go and watch as the Universe brings to you everthing you require?
All of this leads to a very simple conclusion:
BE THE “WHO” THAT YOU WILL BE WHEN YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. Focus on that. Let the rest of the details take care of themselves.
I don’t have a “best practices” framework for this. I don’t have a “To-Do” list either. I don’t even have a bulleted breakdown of action steps that you can skim to get the gist of how to do it.
BEING is not a “doing.” It is a state you embody. It is a decision you make.
If you let the Matrix lock you into the prison of linear, where you think you have to do X to get Y, you will cut yourself off from the magic that is available to us all.
Chasing is constriction.
Allowing is expansion.
Make your choice about which path you want to live on purpose.
