I used to wait for money. I’d get half at the beginning and half at the end.

I stopped doing that because I realized all I was doing was “monetizing” my own insecurity. I was transforming my low self-worth into a real world reflection in the form of a cashflow nightmare.

Today, it’s payment in advance. I get the money, then I start the work.

How do you make this shift?

You take a breath. You stand up straight. You tell the world that’s how it’s going to be. You collect the money from everyone who agrees.

It’s a simple recipe.

It doesn’t matter “how it’s done in your industry,” it doesn’t matter that “no one else does it,” it only matters that, in your Universe, that is how things are going to go.

It took me a while to discover there is a flavor of confidence that is also humble and aware. You can be confident without being arrogant. You can be direct without being sharp.

That’s what you need for this. You simply put your foot down and proclaim the truth for YOU.

Imagine if you went through all of the parts of your business and changed them to work the way you want them to work? You’ll never get permission for this from anyone, but you’ll also never meet anyone with the proper authority to tell you that you can’t do it.
